Wedding cakes may be booked up to two years in advance with a 25% deposit.  Your final cake design may still be changed at a later date until about two months before the wedding, except for comissioned jewellery pieces which may have been made in advance.

Cakes can be styled any way you want them to be: simple and chic, classy and refined, pretty and perfect or stunning displays of sugar artistry. The choice is entirely individual. There are few limits in the world of cakes, except for culinary safety!

For something truly extraordinary, we can even make bespoke cake ornaments, either plain or stone-set, in hall-marked silver or gold.  A family heirloom to pass down from generation to generation perhaps ...*

Cakes and flavours

We are happy to discuss any ideas you have for your cake. All of our own recipes use the finest ingredients and have been developed over several years. Popular choices include:

• Sweet and moist fruit cake warmed with a generous dousing of the best alcohol
• Belgian chocolate cake with vanilla or rich chocolate butter cream
• Luscious lemon cake with zesty butter cream
• Best ever coffee cake with whipped coffee butter cream
• Vanilla sponge with conserve and butter cream.

Important information

• Scattercake is a registered food business with full food hygiene certification
• A deposit is required before undertaking any work. The balance is payable on or prior to delivery.
• Delivery and set up is available to any destination (and is advisable for most wedding cakes). It is charged by the mile and takes into account our time and other costs involved.  We can deliver anywhere within the UK by  arrangement.
• Payment can be made by cheque or cash.

Scattercake's aim is to make the very highest quality cakes, not the highest quantity.

For reasons of design integrity and health and safety we only make fully decorated cakes and we only decorate our own cakes. We regret that we are not able make 'blank cakes' for other people to decorate.

Every cake gets 150% of our attention.  For this reason we only take a limited number of bookings. The more complex the cake, the more of our time it will need.  We therefore advise that you let us know at the earliest possible time if you have a special date in mind.
